Life Rides on Hope. All the more if you are fighting your way against Cancer but then there is this someone who has taken it literally. Meet Harteij Bhartesh, a man on a mission, who is touring across the country on his bike to spread awareness about Cancer. Why would a 26 year old keep aside the best time of his life to spread awareness about this dreaded disease?
Harteij’s story is every bit that of a hero. He was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma when he was still in the fourth year of college. He was diagnosed with third-stage cancer after undergoing a biopsy in Hyderabad. He initially tried to avoid chemotherapy and for alternative medicines but only to realise that, it was a wrong decision.
After four years of treatment and chemotherapy, this is the first time he has stepped out of explore the beautiful country. He makes it a point to visit cancer centers and speak to the patients. He wants to give them hope and share his story and fight against cancer. One of the first things he suggests and conveys to patients is the importance of right and early treatment.
He embarked on the solo ride on May 1, 2016 and aims to clock 30,000km in five months. Starting the journey on his Kawasaki Ninja 300 from Raipur in Chhattisgarh on his Kawasaki Ninja 300, he has traveled so far across Bangalore, Pondicherry and is presently travelling in Chennai. Through his campaign Ride of Hope, he wants to tell people that cancer can be conquered. A big salute to the brave heart for such an initiative.
